In 1978, in the midst of preparing supper, Arnold (Arnie) Hansen discovered he had run out of his favourite barbecue seasoning. Since the closest store was over an hour away, Arnold decided to blend his own that evening.
For years Arnold with his wife Frances continued to adjust the herb and spice formula until they struck upon a recipe that was better than anything they could buy. Family and friends raved about it, demand was high, so they decided to make it a business.
Today, the company is owned by their daughter Tracy. She still uses the original recipe ensuring the same great taste her parents perfected almost 40 years ago.
